About myHABITAT

A couple of years after moving to North America, coming from a tropical country, my wife and my daughter started to suffer from the tough environmental conditions, both outdoors and indoors, and ultimately developed an asthma condition.

Although air pollution was a real problem in the city we used to live in, the sharp seasonal variations in North America with swings in temperature, relative humidity and pollen levels create a harsh environment for our bodies to adapt to, which frequently lead to the development of allergies and other health conditions.

As we started to study the issue to raise our awareness and to incorporate attenuating factors to our routines, we realized that relative humidity is likely the most important indoor environmental parameter linked to respiratory health, assuming the vents in the AC/HVAC systems are cleaned periodically. We also learned that a significant part of the population is impacted by such health conditions (+).

The lack of a reliable, fully integrated solution with an innovative design motivated us to start this journey to develop myHABITAT Senses, which we’re proud to offer as a real solution to other families in North America.
